In dust collection systems used in industrial plants where dusty materials – such as wood, grain, sugar, metals or plastics – are processed, there is a real risk of a dust explosion. For this reason, increasing emphasis is being placed on explosion protection in accordance with the ATEX directive. In explosive areas, every piece of equipment must meet the highest safety standards. One of the key components of these safeguards are rotary airlocks, which act as an explosion isolator.
