For many small and medium-sized plants, the biggest barrier is not the awareness of the problem itself, but the question:\r
where to actually start, so as not to overpay and do it twice?\r
This is a very reasonable approach. When it comes to dust collection, ventilation and explosion protection systems, the worst solution is to act “on the fly” without a holistic view. Such systems should be tailored not only to what the plant looks like today, but also to how it realistically works and how it may develop in the years to come.\r

The first step should not be to choose a particular filter or fan from a catalog, but to answer some basic questions:\r

–<\/span> where today’s plant performs most poorly, \r
–<\/span> where the most dust is generated, \r
–<\/span> what is the transport and collection of waste, \r
–<\/span> whether the current layout keeps up with actual production, \r
–<\/span> where fire and explosion hazards may exist. \r
