Traditional solutions – horizontal relief
Standard bag filters use explosion-proof diaphragms mounted on the side or bottom of the housing. When an explosion occurs, the diaphragm opens, releasing the overpressure created when the dust ignites. While effective, such a solution carries significant risks:
– Ejection of flame and flared particles to the sides,
– Potential damage to the hall infrastructure,
– Risk of secondary explosions in neighboring areas,
– Danger to nearby personnel.
VFV® – vertical strain relief for greater safety
In response to these risks, NEU-JKF has developed an innovative VFV® explosion-proof ventilation system. This is a solution that directs explosion energy vertically, through the roof of the filter – into the clean air chamber. Such an arrangement brings a number of advantages:
– Elimination of side ejection – less risk of damage to the building and protection of personnel,

– Possibility of installing filters indoors – even in tight spaces,
– Compliance with ATEX and European safety standards,
– Minimization of the risk of a secondary explosion, thanks to the retention of dust in the filter chamber.
