LIGNA 2025 – the 50th edition of the fair that creates the future of the wood industry

The 50th anniversary edition of LIGNA – the world’s largest and most important event dedicated to the woodworking and wood-based materials processing industry – was held in Hanover from May 26-30, 2025. Our participation in this unique edition was not only an opportunity to present our own solutions, but also to exchange knowledge, inspire and build partnerships that really shape the future of the sector.

LIGNA in numbers – record scale of the event

This year’s show attracted an impressive number of attendees and exhibitors:
– 78,000 visitors from 156 countries
– 1,433 exhibitors from 49 countries
– 93% of visitors were industry decision-makers and specialists
– 114,078 sq of exhibition space

The scale and diversity of the solutions on display show that the timber industry is entering a new phase of intense technological and digital transformation.

In focus – innovation and sustainability

LIGNA 2025 has clearly indicated the main directions of the sector’s development:

1. Automation and digitization

Smart production lines, artificial intelligence-based solutions, robotics and integrated systems are no longer the future, but the present of the woodworking industry. Digital twins, predictive maintenance and remote production management were strongly present in most of the solutions presented.

2. Sustainable technologies
The fair showed the rapid development of machinery and process offerings that take into account environmental aspects: lower energy consumption, material recovery, emission reduction technologies or new approaches to the circular economy. Green transformation is no longer a choice – it is becoming a standard.

3. New materials and possibilities
In addition to classic solutions for woodworking, the development of composite materials, intelligent wood-based panels and bioengineered structures was strongly emphasized. These are completely new perspectives for architecture, construction and design.

Experience that pays off

Our booth was visited by hundreds of visitors from all over the world. We presented not only our latest products and services, but above all the idea of cooperation based on partnership, reliability and innovative approach to market needs.
We held dozens of conversations with industry representatives, system integrators, component suppliers and R&D institutions. Each meeting means valuable knowledge, new inspiration and impetus for further development for us.

LIGNA 2025 emphatically demonstrated that the timber industry is undergoing a profound transformation – technological, environmental and social. Market success in the coming years will be achieved by those who are able to respond to change, implement innovation and invest in competence.
Our priority for the coming months will be to further develop solutions to the challenges of Industry 4.0, co-create a sustainable value chain and strengthen international partnerships.
