Another edition of the DREMA trade show – one of Poland’s most important events for the wood and furniture industries—is now behind us. For NEU-JKF, these were intense days filled with meetings, discussions about new investments, and the exchange of experiences with industry representatives.
At our booth, we discussed both the construction of new dust extraction systems and the modernization of existing ones. The main focus was on ATEX safety, reducing energy consumption, automating system operations, and effectively managing dust, sawdust, and other waste generated during woodworking processes.
From effective dust removal to energy efficiency
Discussions at DREMA confirmed that the operating costs of dust collection systems are becoming increasingly important for manufacturing facilities. Fans operating for many hours at full capacity can account for a significant portion of a dust collection system’s energy consumption—even when not all connected machines require extraction at a given moment.
That is why modern systems are increasingly using variable-frequency drives, automatic dampers, and intelligent control systems. Solutions such as NESS—the NEU-JKF Energy Saving System—allow the system’s operation to be adjusted to actual production demand. The system automatically responds to changes in machine operation and adjusts the system’s parameters accordingly, reducing unnecessary energy consumption.
This is particularly important in large, complex facilities, where the demand for exhaust ventilation can fluctuate significantly during a single production shift.
A facility that grows along with production
Another topic that frequently came up during meetings at our booth was the expansion of existing facilities. New production lines, additional machines, or the reorganization of production halls do not always require building an entire dust collection system from scratch.
NEU-JKF’s experience encompasses not only the implementation of complete systems but also the modernization, expansion, or relocation of existing equipment. A properly designed system can be prepared for future increases in capacity and subsequent stages of production development.
This approach allows us to view the dust collection system not as a standalone piece of equipment, but as an integral part of the plant’s infrastructure that should adapt to the changing needs of the process for many years to come.

Our participation in this year’s trade show also earned us a special Acanthus Aureus award—the NEU-JKF booth was recognized by the organizers of DREMA. This is an important recognition for us of the space we created with the aim of facilitating meetings, discussions, and presentations of our solutions for the wood and furniture industries. We are delighted that both the concept and the execution of the booth were noticed and recognized. The award is a very pleasant culmination of several intense days spent in Poznań.

This year’s DREMA was, above all, an opportunity for us to engage in direct conversations with representatives of the wood and furniture industries. We discussed new projects, upgrades to existing systems, ways to reduce energy consumption, and solutions to improve process safety.
